Dr. Jiawen Li:  Ultrathin hybrid imaging devices
Dr Jiawen Li is a Fellow of NHMRC, National Heart Foundation and L’Oréal-UNESCO, and a Senior Lecturer at School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the University of Adelaide. She has secured >$2 million research funding as CIA and won numerous prestigious awards/honours (including national Superstar of STEM and Australian Optical Society Geoff Opat Prize). She develops ultrathin, flexible, hybrid imaging devices that enable cross-sectional visualisation deep inside the blood vessel, with cellular resolution, molecular contrast, and high sensitivity.

Dr. Zi (Sophia) Gu: Nanoparticle-enabled drug delivery and imaging diagnosis
Dr Zi Sophia Gu is a Group Leader of NanoBiotechnology Research Laboratory and a Senior Lecturer at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of New South Wales (UNSW). She is a principal investigator in Australian Centre for NanoMedicine, UNSW RNA Institute, Cardiovascular Research Network, and Translational Cancer Research Network. She specialises in synthesis, characterisation, and evaluation of nanoparticles for cancer & cardiovascular diseases. She has published >70 peer-reviewed papers, and has received funding from ARC, NHMRC and NSW Health (>1M as Lead CI in recent 3 years).
