Prof. Stephen Nicholls
Steve Nicholls is Director of MonashHeart, Professor of Cardiology and Director of the Victorian Heart Institute at Monash University. He is leading the Victorian Heart Hospital project. He is President elect of both the Cardiac Society of ANZ and Australian Atherosclerosis Society, Treasurer of the Australian Cardiovascular Alliance, Chair of the Scientific Committee of the ANZ Alliance for Cardiovascular Trials and is a Board Member of the International Atherosclerosis Society. His research program spans the translational spectrum focusing on preclinical mechanisms of atherosclerosis, plaque imaging and leadership of clinical trials of novel cardio protective therapies. He is an inaugural Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences.
