Immune Mechanisms in Non Ischaemic Hypertensive Cardiac Fibrosis

Alex is an immunologist and vascular biologist who heads the Vascular Biology and Atherosclerosis Laboratory at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute in Melbourne. His research focuses on pathogenic mechanisms in atherosclerosis and hypertension.

Dr. Tin Kyaw

B cells, IgG and Atherosclerosis

Dr Tin Kyaw studies how B cells contribute to atherosclerosis and plaque ruptures. He leads Immunopathogenesis section at Vascular Biology and Atherosclerosis laboratory, Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute. He is currently working on novel nanoparticle based therapeutic strategy targeting B cells to prevent recurrent cardiovascular events.
