Data entry has commenced at 20 sites, with over 1000 participants registered.
Application to Medical Services Advisory Committee
FHAN and AAS has been approached by the RCPA (Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia) to provide support for an MSAC application for a new MBS item number for FH genetic testing. Both FHAN and the AAS firmly consider that an MBS item number for genetic testing for FH will improve the care and outcomes of patients with this high-risk condition. A letter of support has been provided to support this important application.

Core Data Entry, Audit and Payment
Available on the Specialist Resources page:
- Data Entry Form – assists with collecting patient information for entry into the registry
- Core Data Checklist – check against before requesting audit/payment.
Please request an audit after you have entered a few patients to stop errors from snowballing.

Registry Update
Two new fields have been added to the Clinical Data page. Age at Consent and Age at Assessment will be automatically calculated when dates are entered.
A. If the treatment regimen is in the dropdown list, please use the dropdown list. If not, select ‘Other’ and free text ALL the exact medication name(s), dose(s) and frequency i.e. do not put some in the dropdown list and some in ‘Other’.
B. Date of starting medication is the date the patient first started taking any cholesterol lowering medication.
